SpaceTek UK installs Starlink across Lancashire, including Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Clitheroe, Chorley and Lancaster. A sheltered town house, a stone cottage and an exposed rural property need different mounting and cable-route plans. The local guides and project photographs below show the questions to consider.

Recent Lancashire installations
What a Lancashire installation usually involves
- Stone farmhouses and cottages. Thick walls need the right fixings and a planned cable entry; where the roofline obstructs the required sky view, compare wall and pole positions using the Starlink app.
- Moorland and valley sites. Wind exposure decides the mount; the cable route is weatherproofed end to end.
- Towns and new estates. Chimneys and neighbouring roofs are the common obstruction, and the router position matters more than people expect.
- Caravan parks and holiday lets. Removable or low-profile mounting with tidy power and cable management.
Choose a mount for the building and exposure
A dish above the roofline needs a suitable supporting structure, not just extra height. Wall condition, pole length, bracket spacing and exposure should be assessed together. Compare wall, pole and roof mounting options and look at the Clitheroe project above for a photographed stone-wall arrangement.
Indoor coverage is a separate part of the job. A connection at the router does not establish that every room has usable Wi-Fi. The Longridge thick-wall Wi-Fi guide explains when Ethernet and additional access points may be more suitable than relying on a single router.
Planning the cost of a Lancashire installation
Tell us about the wall material, approximate mounting height and any access restrictions. On a farm, include the buildings and outdoor work areas that need a connection. This helps distinguish the dish installation from any additional network work; our guide explains what affects the cost of a Starlink installation.
Common planning questions
Is the highest mounting point always best?
No. The aim is a suitable unobstructed sky view with a secure, maintainable installation. Extra height can increase exposure and complicate access, so possible positions should be compared before selecting a mount.
Can you work with an existing Starlink kit?
Yes. Send the model details and explain whether this is a first installation, a relocation or an improvement to an existing setup. A previous bracket is not automatically suitable for a different dish.
For a multi-building site, read about connecting farms and rural businesses. Coastal Southport and Formby are covered in the Merseyside installation guide.
