Today, I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful village of Mobberley in Cheshire, where I installed a new Starlink Gen 3 Residential dish on a large property. The homeowners were struggling with extremely slow internet speeds, averaging only 8Mb download and 2-3Mb upload, which significantly hindered their ability to work from home. Installation Process
For this installation, we used a 10×18″ galvanized steel wall bracket and a 1.5″ mast, ensuring a strong, rust-free mounting position. The Starlink cable was routed through the center of the mast and our custom-designed Starlink Gen 3 Pole Mount Adaptor. After connecting the cable to the dish, we secured our adaptor, aligned the dish roughly using a compass, and then finalized the alignment using the Starlink App.
During this process, we ensured the cable was neatly hidden, balancing aesthetics with functionality. After a few minutes, the homeowners were online, achieving an astonishing 353Mb download and 31Mb upload on their first speed test.
