Choose the structure before the bracket
A short, well-supported installation may be preferable to a tall pole if both positions pass the obstruction check. Extra height increases the demands on the supporting structure. Brickwork condition, bracket spacing and the equipment manufacturer’s mounting limits matter more than simply getting the dish above the gutter.

Allow for salt, rain and later access

- Keep a practical route for future inspection rather than installing where every check requires major access equipment.
After severe weather, inspect from a safe position for movement or loose cable. An intermittent connection is not proof of a damaged mount: check the Starlink app and the indoor network before arranging corrective work. Do not climb onto a roof to investigate.
Will the sea-facing side be best?
Not necessarily. Starlink needs the sky area identified by its app for your kit and location, not a view towards a particular landmark or a universal compass direction. A sheltered alternative may work just as well. Compare suitable positions before committing to a long exposed cable run.
